| When I was in Athens in April 2009, I picked up a unopened pine cone from a tree on the Acropolis Plateau. After a couple of weeks in the window, the cone opened and the seeds fell out. Optimistically I planted 3 seeds, but nothing happend for two month despite daily attention and nursing.
I has basically given up, and went on a week vacation. I was very surprised to come home and discover that all three seeds had become these 5 cm. tall "trees".
Also this photo marks the closing of my postings on this blog. I will relocate to another part of the world. I will most likely take up photoblogging again - but probably in another format.
